The Healing Waters of Lake Powell

Rachel needed the healing waters of Lake Powell. Both body and spirit. We have had kind of a rough month visiting multiple eye doctors about the very deep and wide cut on her right cornea. We finally saw a cornea specialist - who was hopeful that Rachel would not need surgery to fix her blurry vision. She suggested that Rachel not play volleyball this summer, that she keep her eye very moist, and that she take a high dose of vitamin C to help with the scaring. After receiving this news, we were lucky enough to get Rachel a ride to Lake Powell with the Sims family. She then met up with Mimi & Papa, the Leavitts, the Sappingtons, and Tom & Michelle Beckerle. It was exactly what Rachel needed. She enjoyed time with family and was able to leave a little of the stress behind. The little boy cousins just love her
