We just got back from a wonderful trip to northern California. The girls had never been north of Santa Barbara so we decided it was about time to show them some of this great state. Tom signed up to do a few parole hearings at San Quentin state prison Mon. - Wed. to give us an excuse for a road trip. The central valley (hwy 101) was beautiful with its rolling hills, crops, and fields of wildflowers. I think all of the rain we have gotten this winter made the scenery even more spectacular. San Francisco was fun and exciting, we walked and shopped, and walked and shopped, and walked some more!!! On our way home we stopped off in Monterey and Carmel and took the even more scenic route of hwy. 1.
